One Hundred Days of Stupid

In The Second Time Around, Dr. Robinson and Brie reference the start of “one hundred days of stupid,” or the start of what is sometimes referred to as one hundred days of summer. Often considered to run from Memorial Day to Labor Day, this is the time when the heat spikes, kids are out of school and looking to be entertained, beach trips are planned, and, in the case of Willow Bay, folks occasionally forget to act in a responsible manner. Probably from drinking plenty of beverages to fight off the heat.

Looking for a drink that will keep you refreshed but out of trouble? How about this favorite of Em’s (although she has been known to top it off with a little rum or vodka on the occasional hot summer night):

Em’s One Hundred Days of Stupid Summer Punch

¼ c cranberry juice

¼ c pineapple juice

½ c lemon-lime soda

¼- ½ c sherbet (raspberry works well, but mix it up and try different flavors!)

Put the sherbet into a glass, then top with the liquids. Stir gently.
